The Proposal
Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 7:00PM You slip on your favorite dress and sprits your best perfume. Your boyfriend has invited you over for a nice quiet dinner. You walk into his house and hear soft jazz music playing, the lights are dimmed and the room is accented in burning candles. He’s prepared chicken parmesan - your favorite. He offers you a glass of wine and as you sit down he flashes you a familiar smirk. That look he always gives you when he’s up to something. “I was going to wait until after dinner to do this,” he says “But...I got you something.” He pulls out a big gift box neatly wrapped and tied with a huge bow. “Oh, wow!” You say with a big smile. You pull the ribbon, unwrap the box and open it. Inside, there’s another neatly wrapped box. You smile and pull the smaller box out, unwrap and open. Inside, another neatly wrapped box. You pick up the ring box, almost afraid to open it. He drops down to one knee as you slowly open the box. Through the tears in your eyes you see a gorgeous diamond engagement ring and hear him whisper softly, “Will you marry me?”
The proposal may be one the best moment in your life. But after the proposal...
